Husband and wife were stabbed multiple times





Elderly white couple fought back fiercely: stabbed 'multiple times' - gun trigger pulled repeatedly pointing at them... but it failed to fire... 25 March 2016: Magnolia Street, Kosmos Park, Standerton: 
"A husband and wife were stabbed multiple times, with an armed home invasion, in the early hours of 25 March in Magnolia Street, Kosmospark, Standerton.
 Apparently two armed suspects gained entry through the kitchen window into the residence.The home owner tried to protect himself and his wife
(which choose to be anonymous for fear of victimisation) with his gun but the suspects attacked with force and fled with the firearm and a television and their cell phones.
According to the man, he woke up with a knife already pressed against his throat. His wife said she thought her husband had a bad dream that is why he screamed, she woke up with the other intruder next to her bed.
That is when the brutal attack happened on the two people. From the get go the perpetrators attacked the husband and stabbed him multiple times.
 
According to the wife she feared for her husband’s life and she attacked the thugs with pepper spray and also got hold of a knife, she added she stabbed the thugs also with a knife in protecting herself and husband.
 
In the meanwhile one of the attackers got hold of a drawer and kept on hitting the woman with it until it broke into pieces, he picked up a piece and kept on with the assault.
 
With the struggle, the holster of the firearm came from under the bed and the attackers became more violent according to the couple.
 
At first, they tried to deny that there is a weapon in the house but the husband dived under the bed as the wife picked the bed up, in an attempt to overwhelm the intruders.
 
But the armed thugs kept on telling the house people" they will shoot them if they try to scream for help", after they got hold of the gun.

According to the couple, every time the thugs pointed the firearm at them "something prevented the gun from firing"-- 
 
both times even on their way out the gun was pointed at the couple and the trigger was pulled, but nothing happened... 
 
According to the couple the black thugs both wore jeans with dark tops, one perpetrator is tall and the other one is short.
 
The couple was taken to the Standerton Hospital for the treatment of the stab wounds.
