Farmers are attacked almost daily in South Africa. It is despicable and insensitive. The crime rate is no longer a joke, it is serious and who knows when the elderly will get help. It is indeed sad.
ARMED HOME
INVASION: Couple was attacked by 3 armed black attackers. The husband (elderly
man) was hit over the head which knocked him out. Firearm was stolen
ARMED HOUSE ROBBERY – PORTION 18 – NOOITGEDACHT - 3 SUSPECTS
Yesterday afternoon at about 14:00 three armed suspects
accessed the property, hit the husband (elderly man) over the head which
knocked him out.
They then accosted his wife and asked her for firearms. She
took them to the empty safe. They took her back to the main bedroom where
they found her husband’s revolver lying on the bed and they took it.
They removed as much jewellery and small items as well as two
old computers from the house and fled. The suspects wore balaclavas and
gloves.
The woman reported that she spoke to one of the suspects who
seemed to be in his 20’s and he told her to keep quiet – he was extremely
aggressive and the other two constantly had to calm him down. They fled
the scene and she pressed the panic button.
