Rhino Horn Poachers Arrested – Brits

On Tuesday, 03 May 2016, three suspects aged 30, 31 and 34 are expected to appear in the Brits Magistrates’ Court for possession of rhino horns.

The trio’s appearance in court stems from their apprehension in Brits by the Tactical Response Team (TRT) and Crime Intelligence on Saturday, 30 April 2016, near the Total filling station, in Elandsrand, Brits. They were arrested after the police acted on a tip-off that one of the suspects, a Mozambican National was seen in possession of rhino horns.
