Two children came home

This is the story I think could make people stop scrolling.

TWO LITTLE GIRLS CAME HOME YESTERDAY.

They are 9 and 15 years old.

They are South African children who were allegedly trafficked across the border into Malawi.

Their family had lost their home.

They were vulnerable.

Someone gained their trust and promised to help.

Instead, the children ended up thousands of kilometers from home.

They were rescued by Malawian authorities in July and placed in a place of safety.

Yesterday, after months of coordination between South African and Malawian authorities, Interpol South Africa and the Department of Social Development, the girls finally returned home.

They have been through something no child should ever experience.

Their story is a painful reminder:

Traffickers don't always look like strangers lurking in dark places.

Sometimes exploitation begins with trust.

A promise.

A helping hand.

A job.

An opportunity.

That's why awareness matters.

And today, we can at least say:

Two children are home.
