Crime Stats South Africa A Dangerous Country

Crime Statistics released the 2015 figures, and a total of 2,250,257 crimes including murder were committed during that year.  A total of 17,805 murders were recorded for the 2015 year. Reported cases of assault with the intent to inflict grievous bodily harm stood at 182,556.
According to ABC News Point, South Africa remains in the top ten most dangerous countries. The report stated that South Africa have extremely high murder, assault and rape cases contrary to other nations. Topping the list as the most dangerous country in the world is Central American country Honduras. However, being one of the top ten dangerous countries is still a matter of concern for South Africans.

Cape Town, Mitchells Plain, and Johannesburg are considered the most dangerous cities in South Africa. These three cities have the highest reported crimes during the 2015 year. However, Gauteng recorded the highest crime, followed by the Western Cape. Surprisingly Kwazulu-Natal had the least crimes during the 2015 year.

If criminals do not have guns, they will use knives and whatever other weapons they find, to kill their victims. Murdering people seem to happen every day in South Africa. Some of the crimes are family related, and some are related to drugs and theft.

It is dangerous to walk around the streets, and it is dangerous in your own home. It is really a terrible situation for the people of South Africa to live a life filled with the thought of being another victim of senseless crime.
