We see someone begging.
We keep walking.
We hear about children going hungry.
We scroll.
We hear about trafficking.
We think, "That's terrible."
Then we move on.
We hear about families living in conditions most of us could barely imagine.
We shake our heads.
And tomorrow, we carry on with our lives.
I understand it.
The world's problems are overwhelming.
We can't fix everything.
But perhaps we don't have to fix everything.
Perhaps we simply need to stop looking away.
Notice the person who needs help.
Share information that could protect someone.
Support a community organisation.
Give what you can.
Speak when something is wrong.
Teach a child that their circumstances don't determine their worth.
Small acts of humanity still matter.
And sometimes, changing the world begins with refusing to become indifferent to it.
