Decaying Sheep and Cow’s head in the trash

The refuse removal strike is no longer a joke. How can the South African Government allow the filth to accumulate? Why is there no intervention? We can ask questions and in reality, we know there will not be a decent answer or ACTION.
The Strike around Johannesburg is entering its 4th week, and the dirt is so disgusting, that even the roads are filled with rubbish making it a hazard for drivers using certain roads in the city.

What is even more disgusting is the fact that decapitated cows and sheep heads are scattered with the rubbish. Can you imagine the stench?  I am sure the giant rats are welcoming the mess. You do know that there is a major rat infestation problem in and around Johannesburg. This strike will cause the rat population to expand and cause untold problems.

What a hopeless situation. When will the government / municipality take action, how can they claim to have the interest of the people at heart, when the very people who vote for them are left to live in filth.

On the other hand, the city is so overpopulated, and people do not care how they live. It seems they thrive among the garbage.

Post from FaceBook
This is downtown Johannesburg. There are decaying sheep and cow's heads in the trash. I understand that Pikitup have been on strike, but in what scenario can it... possibly be okay for these to end up in the trash, ever??? ‪#‎ThirdWorldAfricanCity‬ ‪#‎PikitupStrike‬ ‪#‎Unacceptable‬ - photos via @trevormeisel
