Quiet Spark - A Breath of Stillness

Quiet Spark - A Breath of Stillness

In one deep breath, the world slows.

Not because the world has changed —
but because you have.

Because for a moment, you’ve stepped out of the rush,
out of the noise,
out of the constant pull of what’s next.

Breathe in slowly.
Feel your chest rise.
Notice the air filling your lungs.
Notice how your body responds when you give it even a second of care.

And as you breathe out, let something soften.
Your shoulders.
Your jaw.
Your thoughts.

Quiet moments remind us that peace is always within reach —
not somewhere far away,
not something we have to earn,
but something we return to.

Again and again.
Breath by breath.

So when life feels loud, overwhelming, or too fast —
remember this simple doorway.

One inhale.
One exhale.

And in that small space between them…
there is stillness.

Quiet Spark - The Hidden Flame

Quiet Spark - The Hidden Flame

Sometimes the brightest sparks are hidden in shadows.

They don’t announce themselves.
They don’t demand attention.
They glow quietly, waiting to be noticed.

They appear in unexpected places
in moments of doubt,
in endings that feel like losses,
in pauses that feel empty at first.

Look closely.

Because hope doesn’t always look like happiness.
Sometimes it looks like resilience.
Like getting out of bed when it’s hard.
Like choosing kindness when you’re tired.
Like starting again after something falls apart.

It can live in small choices.
A deep breath instead of a reaction.
A gentle word instead of silence.
A step forward, even when you’re unsure.

So when things feel dark, don’t rush past the shadows.

Sit with them long enough to notice what’s glowing there.

Because often, the light you’re searching for
is already quietly burning inside you
steady, patient, and waiting to be seen.

White Squatter Camp needs help

Just outside of Pretoria, is one of many white squatter camps, home to families who have lost everything over the last 10 years or so.   These people, healthy, willing to work and provide for their families, are not able to find work due to the South African Government laws that exclude white people from being employed.   Really sad and unfair.

I say if a person is able to do the job and qualified to do the work, then they should be hired on experience and not skin color.   Unfortunately, it does not work like that anymore.   Besides these people in Pretoria, there are many other places around South Africa that house white unemployed people. It seems as though more and more white people are drowning in poverty and homelessness.

It is estimated that 34 percent of the 60 million+  people in South Africa are unemployed, it's a very disturbing factor. So many businesses, companies that have operated for over 50 years all closed down and the main cause being affirmative laws.

We are thankful, that Non-profits help to supply food and other necessary items to these desperate people, and of course I will always keep helping.   Here are a few photos of food being delivered to the Pretoria squatter camp recently.

Now we are driven to help the children with educational needs and if you feel you would like to assist, please visit the CLR Foundation website (Link) and donate.

We thank you for your generosity and understanding.
