Zuma and ANC stand above the law

The African National Congress (ANC) is a disgrace to the entire continent, said Dennis Bloem, spokesperson for the Congress of the People (COPE). Bloem went on to say that President Jacob Zuma is a disgraceful individual who has broken his oath of office.  Bloem was unsympathetic and in a scathing attack on the ANC and Zuma called upon voters to realize the truth. The dictatorship and irresponsible governing must end.
According to Zuma, it is only a relatively small band of provocateurs that are responsible for the burning of schools and vandalizing state property.  Zuma said there is absolutely no justification for such behavior and this behavior is condemned without equivocation. However, it is a little too late for the president and the ANC to condemn this action. After all, it is Zuma and the ANC comrades that taught the people on the ground how to burn down buildings and oppose a government. The ANC forget that their past actions of destroying property and protesting during apartheid are the very same action the people are doing today. What else did the ANC and Zuma expect?

The ANC are manipulating facts, hiding the truth and are desperate to remain in power. The fact that ANC voters protest against the party at Luthuli House demonstrate the aggravation of ordinary people. People on the ground have not forgiven the dishonorable president for Nkandla and other atrocities.

Zuma and the ANC have forgotten why people are protesting and must look to the past for the answers. The protests and vandalism are associated with service deliveries, bad governance, corruption and dissatisfaction with the ANC government. The ANC protested, bombed buildings and killed innocent people during apartheid because there was dissatisfaction with the National Party.

The people want good governance and a political party that will deliver on its promises.  The ANC have failed the people of South Africa. The ANC will take every precaution to stay in power, and in the process will destroy the country. Other political parties, the Democratic Alliance (DA) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have voiced concern over the ethics of the ANC and in particular Zuma.  Above all the ANC remain defiant and adopt dictatorship strategies to enforce governing South Africa.

Either the ANC will stay in power if the people on the ground continue to vote for a corrupt, defiant government, or the ANC will fall if the people use their votes to rid South Africa of a dangerous party.

The ANC comrades and Zuma will not take the blame for anything they have done. Zuma and ANC do not regard stealing from the poor as a crime; it is their dues for the struggle endured. It is only the elite of the ANC that fought for a democratic South Africa, while in exile, not the millions of oppressed members of the ANC. Today, it is only about the elite and Zuma; these are the ANC members who matter.

Malema – Demand and You will receive

Julius Malema leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has earmarked areas that will be expropriated without compensation. In a Twitter feed, Malema will take areas such as Stellenbosch, Roodepoort and Orange Farm for distribution. Does Malema believe that the EFF party can march onto properties, evict the people and lay claim to the land? Once again the chubby man-child in true African spirit is demanding because he believes he will receive.
Malema is not a stupid person; he knows how to fire-up and agitate crowds. There are millions of disillusioned black individuals who grasp the words and promises of Malema, who knows how to tap into their pessimism. Malema is promising the masses free land, which he does not have and will now forcefully take away to give to the multitudes.

What Malema is doing is emulating the policies of his hero, Robert Mugabe, the president of Zimbabwe. Mugabe sent thousands of war veterans to get the farmers off the land. If the farmer refused to leave, they were killed or beaten. What army is Malema going to send to get whites off their legally owned properties? Dictators never play fair, and should people believe that Malema will engage in an appropriate program of land distribution? No, not, years ago, Malema said that “We’re not going to beat up white people on the farms. We’re going to engage in a program which will make them understand they must surrender the land.” The question is what program does Malema have in mind?

It is a fact, that South African farmers have owned their land for years and in some cases for over 300 years. The farmers had toiled, ploughed, planted, harvested and remain concerned when droughts threatened the sustainability of a farm. The dedication and hard work by the farmers were for the benefit of the population who ate the fruits of their labor. Now the unskilled want the land back for nothing and bearing in mind that farmland given to blacks are today unproductive. Land that belonged to nobody centuries ago and now this land is their birthright.

Both the EFF and the African National Congress (ANC) want the white people’s land, the land that is already developed. The lands that are toiled, and sown, the land where roads and houses have been built, Land where infrastructure works. They do not want undeveloped land as there will be nothing developed, it would be hard work.

Malema has made land reform the key issue ahead of the local government elections. In true form, there is no thought given to the consequences following stupid actions. Malema should petition the ANC government to start governing the country properly instead of rattling and convincing his uneducated followers to get whites off their lands. Malema is dangerous and should not be underestimated.

Here is the story curtsy of Boere Krisis Aksie:
The Economic Freedom Fighters have identified areas in Stellenbosch, Sandton, Roodepoort and Orange Farm as amongst the areas they will occupy ‘without compensation.’

They didn’t say what they planned to do with the whites who now already live and farm there. They also didn’t say what they intend to do with the many tens of thousands of poor black families who already live at Orange Farm – which is not a ‘farm’ but a squatter camp…

The outlaw-party revealed on Monday that some of the land they have identified will be used to build hospitals‚ police stations‚ taxi ranks and farming.

“We shall expropriate land without compensation for equal redistribution. This is the EFF Land Plan‚” the party said on its Twitter feed.

“The EFF is prepared to fight for the allocation of land till the highest court in the land. We can’t pay for stolen land‚” the party said.

It identified Stellenbosch in the Western Cape as well as Gauteng’s Sandton‚ Roodepoort and Orange Farm amongst some of the areas which it has its eye on for land redistribution.
“Kayamandi next to Stellenbosch is an area of to square kilometres with a 24‚645 and with 5‚551 households per km2.

“Stellenbosch is an area of 793.5 km2 with a population of 35‚570‚ and about ten households square kilometres while Kayamandi next to it suffers.”
The EFF said the Roodepoort and Orange Farm areas had long been identified “as having great potential for farming.”

The party signaled that Sandton‚ which has a lesser population compared to its neighbouring township Alexandra, which is home to more than 500‚000 people has been eyed for expanding Alex.
The EFF indicated that it would contest all 278 municipalities for the upcoming elections.”

Muzzle the Media Demonstrates the ANC desperation

The current attempts to muzzle the media is a clear indication of the African National Congress (ANC) desperation. By banning real live events and keeping people uninformed about the actual situation in South Africa, the ANC have moved a step closer to dictatorship. Control of the media is a sign that can lead South Africa into a one-party state.  Is this the sole objective of the ANC?
You will never get justice in South Africa when criminals create the rules. The ANC and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) do not want people to see certain footage because they believe people will be corrupted. Freedom of information is a powerful tool in the hands of ordinary citizens. The ANC believe that the violence, the burning of buildings, riots will enforce people to become copycats and criminals. What the ANC have forgotten is that these incidents are not a spur of the moment actions triggered by events broadcast on television. These protests are planned, by community leaders who debate issues and take action based on government refusal to meet their demands.

The decision not to show violent protests has nothing to do with promoting violence. It has all to do with protecting the ANC during the elections.  By banning the protesting events, the ANC can protect its image and change the mindset of people.

The SABC argues that using violent protesting footage is a promotion to encourage others to follow. The SABC have a weak excuse as the station plays movies of murder, war and other social ills all the time. Is this then not a promotion of violence?  Of course, when the SABC tells the story of anti-apartheid or a liberation struggle, the station shows protests of police and unarmed black people fighting for freedom on the streets.

It is this type of footage the ANC and the SABC do not want you to see because they believe you will be corrupted. Is this the kind of stories the ANC do not want you to read because it will damage the reputation of the party.

21 March 1960: Sharpeville Massacre
Police shoot and kill protesters at Sharpeville and at Langa, Cape Town.

The Sharpeville and Langa incidents bring journalists to South Africa in large numbers, and international audiences see shocking footage of the massacre on television.  Pictures played an important part in the local publishing of the events.  Laurence Gandar, the editor of the Rand Daily Mail, decides not to publish one of these, which shows bodies strewn as far as the camera could see because it might inflame further violence.

Cape Times driver, Richard Lombard, is killed in Langa.  The photographer and reporter, Cloete Breytenbach and Terry Mc Comb Herbst, whom Lombard had driven into the township, escaped with the assistance of the police. Lombard was taken out of the car by the rioting crowd, shot, doused with gasoline and burnt.  A limb was severed from his body.  Herbst had a bottle smashed over his head.63  The editor of the Cape Times, Victor Norton, banned staff from entering the townships "until things quietened down".

18 June 1976
Police come under heavy fire in Alexandra, "but this was almost entirely concealed to protect white morale and the confidence of investors.
Alexandra was at war, with the army called in to back up the police, but the press collaborated with the government to conceal the fact.  The police were caught by surprise and suffered casualties (including probable deaths), but these were not revealed."

From this present moment, the SABC will not cover violence or bad news of any kind. South Africans can relax, it will only be good news and a closer move to a dictatorship.

Unemployment Promises by African National Congress

In what might have been a blooper, the African National Congress (ANC) posted a statement on Twitter promising to create “Unemployment” for the youth. The ANC said they will do what they are good at and restore the dignity of women. Shortly after realizing the mistake, a correction update was posted.

However amicable the promise of doing what is good and creating employment for the youth, the ANC once again are posting empty promises.  The unemployment rate in South Africa is high, approximately 27 percent of people are jobless. Most of the unemployed are youths who have little or no education and lack experience.

There is no clear indication of how the ANC will create jobs, especially for the youth. Getting the young people to attend school and study at institutions of higher education is problematic. The current events leading up to the burning of schools, and universities although disgraceful, tells a story of no interest in obtaining an education. The government does not provide textbooks, motivate students to study and ignores the poverty of the people. Some students are too poor to pay for an education and demoralized at the lack of attention from the government.

Now the ANC will create employment, and it is a guessing game of how the ruling party will accomplish this plan. What is the strategy of the ANC, is there a possibility that unemployed youngsters will be allowed to work in government facilities. Will the government open up training centres and teach the youth skills. So many questions and the same issues that have been pondered for years.

With the local elections looming, the ANC will once again, promise not only the youth but all South African a better life. A pledge of a life filled with good governance, less corruption and not as much crime. The voters will remain gullible and tricked into believing the promises of a government that has a track record of discontent. Once again the ANC will tell the people of South Africa how well the ruling party has governed and tell the good story.

Jacob Zuma once said “It’s cold outside of the ANC”, and he told the truth. It is cold outside, and there are millions of people who will confirm that it is true. There is the elite that is warm within the ANC, and it’s all from the abuse, corruption, fraud, and entitlement. The promise of employment, and whatever other benefits the ANC will toss at the voters is another empty undertaking to keep the elite in power. Yes, the ANC might keep the unemployed people hanging onto a promise, for the next two months.
