The Dirty Streets of Johannesburg

Johannesburg is dirty; rubbish is piling up as the strike continues. Pickup works have once again embarked on a strike – for more money. It is always about the money.
The past four months have seen the refuse giant go on strike about four times.  It must be weak management that cannot resolve the wage issues. In the meantime, the city is becoming a filthy place, especially around the CBD area, where rubbish is piled up leaving no space for pedestrians.

The suburbs are being affected by the non-collection of garbage as the dirt piles up causing a health hazard. It is not only the unsightly rubbish that people have to look at; it is the stench that is unbearable.

While the strike enters it is the third week, Pikitup management says there is a contingency plan in place and its costing a fortune. Whatever plan they have, it is not working. The streets remain filthy.

Goat Rape in South Africa

How awful, how terrible that a human being resorts to raping a goat. What on earth was this man thinking? South Africa has so many "sex workers" that prowl the streets looking for customers, and this man could not contain the lust of the flesh. To traumatize an animal for the sake of momentary pleasure is disgusting.
In all the stupidity, the owner of the goat took to man to the tribal leaders and was forced to marry the goat.  Now he has a goat wife. What next, is this normal, do human beings not have any shred of decency left.

I am utterly appalled not only because the goat was raped, but because humans have taken action that is entirely immoral, Thank God not all South Africans have such a demeaning attitude, there are the few sane ones.

Nkandla Man forced to marry a goat after he was found r@ping it

A man from Nkandla in KwaZulu Natal has been forced to take a goat as his “wife”, after he was caught having s3x with the animal.  When Peter Ndlovu was r@ping a goat, little did he know that he was having an affair with his bride-to-be until he was caught and made to marry the animal

The goat’s owner, Mr Samson Gumede, said he surprised the man with his goat and took him to a council of elders.

They ordered the man, Peter Ndlovu, to pay a lobola of R4 500 to Mr Samson Gumede.
“We have given him the goat, and as far as we know they are still together him and the goat,” Mr Samson Gumede said.

Mr Samson Gumede, a hard working man fro Nkandla, told South African newspapers that he heard a loud noise around midnight on 6 January and immediately rushed outside to find Mr Ndlovu with his goat.

“When I asked him: ‘What are you doing there?’, he fell off the back of the goat, so I captured and tied him up.”

Mr Samson Gumede then called elders to decide how to deal with the case.

“They said I should not take him to the police, but rather let him pay a lobola for my goat because he used it as his wife,” Mr Samson Gumede told the newspaper. So when Peter Ndlovu was caught in the act while having s3x with the female goat, he was made to consummate the ‘love’ relationship with it to save its honour as a form of restitution. “If a man is caught sleeping with a girl, he is ordered to marry her immediately in order to save her honour and that of her family,”

South Africa: Another Victim of Crime

Crime does not stop it only gets worse. Is this story about road rage, or is this story about aggressive inconsiderate people who have no respect for other human beings. Is this the result of another racist attack.

Woman in ICU after Bay CBD attack

A 23-year-old Meerensee woman is recovering from emergency brain surgery in the ICU of a private Durban hospital after being attacked with a brick on Monday in the Richards Bay CBD.
The woman, whose identity is being withheld on request of her family, suffered an open wound, skull fracture and brain haemorrhage.
The incident allegedly occurred after her boyfriend was tailed to a parking area by another driver and passenger after an altercation on the wet road.
According to her father, his daughter, who arrived in her own vehicle, witnessed her boyfriend in physical confrontation with the two men.
When she intervened, one of the men allegedly approached her and she used her pepper spray.
A third bystander, with no involvement in the initial argument, hurled a brick at her head and fled from the scene.
‘He was chased by a manager from a nearby shop, but escaped when he was picked up by the driver of a Silver Renault Megane metered taxi (registration number recorded).
The same vehicle allegedly later brought the attacker back to the scene, where he was seen chatting to a crowd.
The woman was rushed to Netcare The Bay Hospital and shortly thereafter transferred to the Durban facility where a neurosurgeon operated on her.
‘As a family, it is very traumatic to deal with a seriously injured child and the shocking attack,’ said her father.
‘The attacker had nothing to do with the initial argument and the driver of the vehicle helped him to escape.
‘We have opened a case of attempted murder and the matter is being investigated by the police.
‘The medical reports noting the extent of her injuries will also be handed to the investigating officer.
‘We wish to thank the medical personnel, the excellent neurosurgeon Dr Stellenberg and everybody who assisted in any way.
‘She is still in ICU and in the process of recovery.’

South Africa Headed Down the Rabbit Hole?

South Africa

Is South Africa headed down the rabbit hole? Taking into account how Zimbabwe, after 35 years of democracy, has become a disaster, South Africa could be following the same route.  Zimbabwe is facing food crises and, even with unemployment reaching 90 percent, the policies of ZANUPF are always about self-enrichment. How long will it take South African voters to realize that the African National Congress (ANC) is heading in the same direction?

Zimbabwe used whatever possible means, like racism and colonialism, to divide the nation and capture all the wealth for self-enrichment, even while 90 percent remain unemployed, and the few who do work are not paid salaries. Billions are missing from businesses and there are untold stories of misery, and the ANC is doing the same.

There will be no change because everyone is running after power and money in exchange for humanity. There is no support for the poor. How much money did South Africa invest in Zimbabwe while the poor were left homeless? There are the issues of schools, health services, policing and escalating crime that the government has ignored while the suffering of the people intensifies.
The ANC government have been warned time and time again that South Africa is heading in the same direction as Zimbabwe. The government has chosen to ignore all the warnings and carry on with the process of increasing their resources, coupled with some ridiculous laws.  What can the country expect, when little or nothing is done to stop the carnage, the thieving and crime?

The National Executive Committee of the ANC is holding an important meeting this weekend, and people are expecting that President Jacob Zuma will be recalled, especially since over the last week, the relationship between the president and the influential Gupta family has placed South Africa in the sense of state capture. As more and more prominent people come forward, confessing that parliamentary and ministerial positions have been offered by the Gupta family, the Zuma control is placed on shaky ground.

What is the response South Africans are expecting to get from this meeting? There are many who want Zuma to be recalled based on the Gupta influence. Last week, during a parliamentary session, Zuma denied that the Gupta family had any influence. The president remained calm, and fervently denied involvement in an almost convincing manner. There are the staunch Zuma supporters who will contest such a move – the ones who have pledged alliance to the president.

When the meeting is over, the response will not be what the people want (the recall of Zuma), but instead, South Africa will see the goalposts being shifted to something entirely new; perhaps a reshuffle of cabinet ministers to remove the traitors and fill the vacancies with a stronger, more reliable protecting unit for Zuma. The protection of Zuma is of paramount importance, for without the president, too many will fall.

The Gupta and Zuma Fiasco

It will not be easy to get rid of Jacob Zuma; there is too much at stake. Too many people are tied to the Gupta Empire, and the loss would be devastating. It is not only the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the African National Congress (ANC) that would lose; there are family members involved.

The NEC elected Zuma as the president of the ANC during 2008 at the controversial Mangaung meeting well aware of the dishonesty, corruption and fraud charges against him. The question is how many have benefited from keeping Zuma in power and what would the loss be if he was no longer the president.
Perhaps the words of Gauta Komane sums it all up.

The centre of power has shifted from Luthuli House and Pretoria to the Gupta HQ in Saxonwold. It will not be easy for the NEC to reclaim its authority and power unless it fires Zuma, who has financial interests in their business with his wife and children. Moreover, it will not be easy to discipline Zuma since the entire NEC, elected at Mangaung on his slate, were aware of his dishonest side and simply wanted to cash in on it.
Furthermore, the ruling party is tied to the Guptas through a financial umbilical cord as Luthuli House depends on donations for the salaries of workers and the maintenance of the building. Moreover, you bet, the Indians generally oblige when the treasurer-general passes the hat around for money..... No prizes for guessing who bankrolled the faction that won the vote at the Mangaung conference.... Now, you think the NEC would bite the generous hands that feed them and reclaim its authority from Saxonwold and restore it back to Pretoria? Perish the thought.

Interesting article to read.
