From Taxi Wars to Minister of Transport

Another concern from a farmer in South Africa, referring to the corruption and greed of government officials.

 What I say here is just the tip of the iceberg. It needs more investigation.

During the time of Chaka, the Zulu king, Mzilikazi "the young general tried to keep some loot for himself instead of presenting all to Chaka".

Mzilikasi ended in Rhodesia. These are the Matabeles or Ndebeles.

I am not sure where the original stock comes from.

Anyway, during the 1980s violence erupted in the area between Greytown and Stanger. Stanger was where Chaka's Kraal was.

 This war was not between IFP and UDF; it was between rival taxi groups.

It is from this area where all taxi routes across South Africa are controlled. Even those in the Cape came to this area to sort out problems gunning rivals down.

Sbu Ndebele was a car cleaner at a White owned garage in Durban. He got involved with taxi wars, and a price was put on his head. He bought a farm 5km from my farm outside Pietermaritzburg. This he did with the help of his White friends so he could get away from the Durban trouble spot.

He rose to be Minister of Roads and Transport after 1994. He was the "right person for the right job". He now was in total control. In the high office.

It was the years 1985 to 1995 that Toyota approached Sbu Ndebele to sell fleets of mini buses to South Africa.

Since 2000, the recapitalization program came into effect selling more fleets to the taxi industry.

Since his roots were in defrauding the authority and then taking the goods ands running with them. It was he who encouraged those in municipalities to take funds out of the treasury and buy privately owned vehicles then ride around the country in style. At the same time he got his slice of the takings, the rest paid to Toyota. That is how one makes money.

Now comes the other tsunami.

Coming from Japan, where Toyotas are made, a certain Schaffel (American business person) is promoting Social Business, using Social Media, as the media to take over business matters.

Twitter, Mobile Commerce, Facebook and Instagram will now be the new media to do business and the Ndebele in the van making profits.

(There are consequences not doing business this way said Scheffel)

How many municipalities are bankrupt as of October 2015?

Those that paid Land Rates will not get a cent of benefit. It has all gone. Gone for good as they gave it all away.

Those in the know since 1980 will take away the rest of the country using social media.

Go to those meetings addressed by motivational and emotional speakers, and who comes back the wiser and richer?

Compassion is NOT the word when you lose it all.

Enough said, go and do your research. 

South Africa Population Control Under the Crunchie Leader

A South African Farmer shares his concerns about the future.

The actions of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) with Julius Malema as a leader this last week in October 2015, is about population control.

Despite its many sins, Apartheid increased the population in South Africa. It did not just double in ten years; it doubled during apartheid. I was reliably informed, during 2010 alone, 70 million immigrants from the rest of Africa came into South Africa. In Kwazula Natal (KZN), how many Zimbabweans work of farms?

Due to labor laws, it is easier to employ foreigners than it is to employ locals. This trend is also done the worldwide and farmers are usually the first to employ those from foreign countries and first to defy the country's laws that prevent foreigners coming in to work.

Farmers usually find young local population insolent and brusque. The young prefer to work in the towns.

In pre-colonial times, the rural population economy depended on children herding animals and doing chores. Getting an education stops the young from working in the rural areas.

The backers of Julius Malema, it seems, is Thabo Mbeki and Robert Mugabe. We all know the deliberate failures of Robert Mugabe. He was put into power by those world leaders who promoted free enterprise, namely Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. He is kept there by the New York Wall Street stock exchange.

The popular notion is that there must be equal education for all and both sexes. Moreover, that people need to be educated so as to lead. They forget that the doing of "disagreeable work" has to be done. Who will work in the mines under Julius Malema? He will make worse conditions and force slavery.

Under the White population the Black population increased. Under the Black population, the black population will decrease despite the well educated black leaders. Robert Mugabe is very well qualified.

The following has been leveled at the Colonial and Apartheid governments in the past. Quote, "The rich conceive every mean by which they may in the first place secure to themselves what they have amassed by wrong, and then take to their use and profit, at lowest possible price, the work and labor of the poor".

This trend is also found in Zimbabwe, post-Haile Selassie Ethiopian and post-Gaddafi in Lybia.

Welcoming the new elite to take over just brings on a typical Orwellian situation What is worse, those perceived to be of the old regime who sinned against the people will be loaded into trucks and carted away to prison, slavery or put to death.

The new will and I quote, "thrust one aside by their more violent and unscrupulous comrades". Even their children, because there are too many will be put to death or made into slaves.

What the very naive present White population need to realize that the future usurpers will put them into slavery for sins done under apartheid. Even the liberal Whites will get their dues and suffer punishment.

The bottom line is the economy will not work and starvation will happen, which is intended.

The crime of apartheid is that the population increased and this is what brought the demise of White rule.

I have tried to be objective as much as possible. I have painfully experienced how the new generation increased, after feeding them so well, all they want now is to eliminate me.

The pharmaceutical companies are in the van to reduce the surplus population. They have done their homework. I do not intend to be their victim.

South Africa Government Losing Control

The financial situation in South Africa is in dire need of improvement as the country runs out of money. The government will not be able to service its debt as this is set to rise. There is a vast amount of waste in the economy, and the amount of money that is stolen is a massive problem. The African National Congress (ANC) ruling party have no plans to grow the economy and alleviate poverty.  The ANC needs to clean up the mess and a good place to start would be within the political party, at the top.  The South African economy is poorly run, and the ANC government is losing control of the situation by not taking action to alleviate the crisis.

The government has not provided the supply side reforms which the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been advising every six months. Not because the ANC differs ideologically with the IMF, but purely because the government is ineffective and weak. Such policy reforms include: limit labor unrest on platinum mines, improve education and skills, fix Eskom, create more jobs, diversify away from resources and agriculture, and cap public sector wage bill.

A general rise in costs, such as salaries and prices of items such as food, fuel, education, is called inflation. The cost of living becomes too high for many people, and current funds are not sufficient to cover things that it bought before the increase. The government knows that there will be riots if necessities of life go beyond the rich of the majority. The Reserve Bank uses interest rates to put a lid on inflation and increase the interest rate to deter people from using credit facilities. It has done this successfully since 1998.  Rising inflation erodes incomes of the poor and the rich are not affected.

Some economists in and out of the ANC believe that the high public sector wage bill along with salary demand of platinum workers could force companies to pass the cost on to consumers. This wage increase is too high, and the conclusion is that it is inflationary. The salary earners will be happy that there is more money in their pockets. However, as it triggers price increases in the rest of the economy, the resultant inflation will come back and take that money away due to the rising cost of living. If wage negotiations were not militant-driven and politicized maybe the workers would accept, offers and employers would be more receptive of better salary increases.

Before making demands from banks and investors, it might be a lot wiser to make sure that government is cleaned up. The voters have the muscle and need to understand that keeping a government in power in exchange for social grants does not lead to economic growth. Messing around with business is foolish. The rich are carrying a very disproportionate share of the tax burden in South Africa and are not coping while the ANC brags about the number of dependents the party has secured by way of granting social benefits.

Public debt is set to increase as government spending continues to rise, and this will have a negative impact on South Africa. The government has not been able to create enough jobs to reduce unemployment. Anti-government protesters are another setback and cause a bleak outlook for the country. South Africa has reached a stage where there is little room for maneuver and all future spending by government will have to be carefully considered.

South Africa is now an appalling nation because it is governed and influenced by a corrupt and immoral political party. The corruption is scaring global businesses away.  Who would want to deal with a government that is corrupt, incompetent and not be trusted?

South Africa Julius Malema the Consummate Politician

Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party in South Africa, together with Floyd Shivambu knows how to appeal to the anxieties and frustrations of black youths. These young people are mostly unemployed, unemployable and leaderless. Both Malema and Shivambu know how to trade on members’ ignorance and lack of sophistication to the electoral advantage of the EFF party.

The EFF is a typical political party, big on populist rhetoric yet weak on strategy. The Members of Parliament (MP) are ignorant on socioeconomic issues and mask the inability to engage in policy with a wrong type of radicalism. The EFF party does fill the intellectual vacuum that the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) left open. This is typical of the ANC members who are dull, ignorant and unable to see further than the next meeting. Hence, Malema can build a career because the political environment is favorable for mediocrity to thrive.

Malema organized a march to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) to rally against racist whites controlling the South African economy. Organizing a massive protest is not an indication of the ability to govern sound policies that the EFF do not have. The EFF have in the past organized more successful marches than any other political party has yet it has no idea about the implementation of the strategy.

The EFF party is not only based on youthful politicking but also rather preoccupied with bigoted, short-term ideology. A party that is big on the manifesto, yet shallow and irrelevant on policy, mainly relating to the current status quo. The JSE, Reserve Bank, and Chambers are agents, not owners of anything that has an impact on the structural reality of the South African economy. Malema makes the right socialist noises, including on ways to tax corporations, yet nothing on growing the economy of South Africa. Making demands is easy but a self-respecting political party should also have the ability to implement ideas on growth strategies.

Malema is making the right populist noises and demands on companies that already know and have programs along those lines. The EFF has said nothing new; mining companies and big corporations have Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in place. The EFF marched to the offices of large corporations making demands for change, yet these companies had already implemented the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE), social and labor plans, bursaries coupled with social responsibilities.

The march to the JSE was all about gaining admiration from members of the EFF party and insulting white business leaders, the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party, including top leaders of the ANC. The EFF did not deliver anything new or express anything significant relevant to what the BEE legislation is advocating.

South Africa needs solutions to overcome the current economic problems, not mere demands. The EFF is talking about how to take from corporations, not  how to grow manufacturing, tourism or mining. The ruling ANC party has lost insight on how to facilitate the process of tangible change for transformation in all essential aspects of the plight of the affected young, poor, unemployed, illiterate masses of the black society. The ANC are concentrating on the cookie jar for short-term gains, which is now proving to have been miscalculated from the dawn of democracy.

Malema is shouting and preaching a gospel that comes from a script written by unknown people, language that the black people testify to easily. This script was written by people who have lived and experienced the hardships of segregation, economic exclusion, and unequal opportunities. The ANC remains content as the first party to govern the new democracy in South Africa that created a platform for black people to be further excluded economically. This, however, is an insult to the people who have died for ideals of an equal society with equal opportunities. The EFF is grandstanding time, and the movement is a radicalism to renew the struggle for economic emancipation for the majority of black people.

The EFF is a relatively new party, at only two years old, while the ANC was formed in 1912. ANC policies have evolved with time, and although there is a place for strategy, execution, and massive action, the EFF is unparalleled action wise while the ANC is paralyzed in the production of documents and doctrines of prehistoric times. The ANC is weak on execution while the EFF is on the ground every day. Success follows actions and the EFF party has an action-orientated attitude.
